Many have asked about the definition of a Medical Officer.
It has been revised earlier this year, in case you have missed it:
1.9. “Medical Officer” – a designated medical personal experienced in cold and ice water immersion, hypothermia risks and had some trauma cases training. The Medical Officer will oversee the recovery of the swimmers’ post Event, and has the responsibility to watch swimmers’ recovery, decide on emergency or evacuation protocol, and discharge swimmers from the Recovery Facility. The Medical Officer will supervise the other medical staff in attendance. The Medical Officer may also be asked to supervise the actual Swim or Event to ensure no participant is in danger.
