A young Dutch swimmer to break the 12:00 minutes

Sven Elfferich , a young (almost 18y) manage to be the first Ice Swimmer to break the 12 minutes.

Sven, who unfortunately, will not participate in Murmansk world Champ, due to age restrictions by Russian sport ministry, swum 11:55:40 minutes in the Austrian Ice Swimming National Champ at Altenworth. 

The course was a pool course set up in a semi frozen lake.

The event boasted 13e male swimmers and 4 female swimmers six countries.

Josef Köberl was the race director and of course he managed time to compete as well.

Julia Wittig from Germany lead the woman race with a fast time of 13:19:62 min.
