Swim Ireland to support the 3rd Eastern Bay Invitation International Ice Mile Swim on 14 February 2015

Delighted to confirm the much awaited announcement that Eastern Bay will again host the International Ice Mile Swim in Lough Dan on Saturday, 14 February, 2015. This annual event has produced more International Ice Milers than any other in Europe. The event, by invitation only, is run under the rules of the International Ice Swimming Association and overseen by independent adjudicators and marshalled by experienced officials. To be invited participants need to be swimming regularly (at least weekly) in conditions to acclimatise to the required temperture of 5 degrees or less.
