Membership
Any person whom has completed an Ice Swim and his swim has been ratified by the IISA board is eligible for membership to the Association.
All applications for membership shall be made in writing and addressed to the Board in the format as determined by the Board from time to
time and shall include –
affidavits of at least 2 (two) witnesses providing testimonials of the swim, including water temperatures, distance swam, temperature, wind chill factor, location, safety measures and any other significant conditions; and original good quality visual recording (photo or video) of the swim.
The Board shall consider all applications for membership and shall in their sole discretion accept or reject applications for membership.
Upon acceptance of the application the Association shall issue a certificate to the applicant signed by the chairperson.
Applicants may apply for recognition of the swim as an Ice Swim prior or after the event.
The Association reserves the right to promote the applicant’s swim on its website and in other publications worldwide.
