Sep 2016

Very important announcement regarding the entry process - please read and share

IISA Admin, 12 September 2016

In order to clarify some questions about the Entry process, please see below:

The competition is split to two events:

  1. IISA 1km World Champ 6-Jan : 2nd Ice Swimming Aqua Sphere World Championships
  2. IISA German Open and national Champ 7-8 Jan : Ice Swimming Aqua Sphere German Open
  • In order to enter a swimmer must be an IISA Member - if you are not an IISA member yet  Register here (it is simple and free)
  • In order to participate in any event in the entire 3 days - One MUST enter via IISA site. Swimmers that bypass the IISA process and register directly at the German entry site - WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO PARTICIPATE!
  • Only entrants that received an IISA Email of acceptance will be allowed to participate.
  • Country Representation and Entries:
  • Each country had been allocated maximum of 6 entries to the IISA 1km World Champ. However, we have plenty of places, so in principal:
  • TOP 5 SWIMMERS IN THEIR EACH AGE GROUP SHOULD BE ABLE TO ENTER. Some countries will have more swimmers than other, but that reflects the popularity of Ice Swimming in the Country.
  • There is no limit or process for the IISA German Open - this is based on first-cos-first-serve.
  • Each country is allowed ONE entry to the 4x100m Country relay.
  • WE WILL CLOSE ENTRIES MID OCTOBER
  • In the meantime, we will approve entries daily as they come. Once accepted - please proceed and pay to secure your entries.

Thank you all and See you in the ICE...
